Thomas Hospital’s pediatric rehabilitation department provides comprehensive care to children who require occupational, physical and/or speech therapy. Located in the Wellness Center at Thomas Hospital, we offer an environment where therapists work together to guarantee each child receives exactly what he or she needs.
We meet the unique needs of our patients—ages birth through adolescence—and allow parents to be an integral part of their child’s therapy. Through viewing windows and headphone systems, parents observe their child’s therapy sessions. We balance challenge and fun while your child receives treatment.
Pediatrics Rehabilitative Playground
The new pediatric rehabilitation playground provides a safe environment for children with special needs to work on their strength, coordination and balance. The playground includes a rock wall, balance beam, monkey bars, over-head glider, chin bar, see-saw, disc swing and therapeutic seat swing.
iPad Station
The Apple iPad is a useful therapeutic device for children with autism. Using the entertaining touch screen and applications developed specifically for autistic children, they often show progress in language and self-help skills.
