Thomas Hospital Diabetes Center provides healthcare education to patients diagnosed with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Licensed registered dietitians and registered nurses teach participants in the diabetes management program to control their disease with healthy diets, regular exercise, medication and monitoring.
The center is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and offers group and individual instructions for:
- Type 1 or 2 diabetes (ages 12 and older).
- Diabetes meal planning.
- Insulin instructions.
- Insulin pump instructions.
- Gestational diabetes.
A physician referral is required for all programs. Appointments are required for the education sessions. Most insurance companies cover a portion of diabetes education.

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
