LifeSouth, a non-profit, volunteer blood center, supplies blood products to more than 120 medical centers in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. The organization provides 100 percent of the blood used at Thomas Hospital.
The blood center is located on the first floor of the hospital. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and provide a photo I.D.
