Thomas Hospital offers customized Occupational Health Services to businesses. These services are designed to enhance and promote employee safety and satisfaction in the workplace.
Our Occupational Health Services coordinators will discuss individual workplace needs and plan a customized program to increase employee safety, develop better employee health and, in some cases, lower insurance costs.
These services can be provided at either our Thomas Hospital offices or within the business:
Human Resources
• Planning and establishing a Drug Free Workplace
protocol and policy
• Drug screen collections by certified technicians
• Drug screening for pre-employment, reasonable
cause, DOT and random applications
• All drug screens include Board certified Medical
Review Officer fees
Safety
• Planning and establishing a Blood Exposure Policy
for blood borne pathogens, including OSHA updates
and follow-up testing
• Assistance in the selection and implementation of
safer sharps devices to meet OSHA compliance
• Annual OSHA updates for medical offices, police,
EMS and fire personnel
• N95 Respirator Mask Fit testing
• Injury Prevention Assessments conducted by
licensed Physical Therapists
• Ergonomics assessments of work stations to
reduce risk for repetitive motion injuries and back
safety training
• Return To Work post-injury assessments to prevent
further injury
Health
• Vaccination programs for Influenza, Hepatitis A & B,
Tetanus and PPD testing administered by
Registered Nurses
• Optional services for cholesterol, blood pressure,
blood sugar and pulmonary function
